This pattern is written in US Crochet Terminology and uses standard Crochet Abbreviations.

Description

  • With star colour make an adjustable loop; ch2 (not counted as a st), 12 dc into loop. Sl st into top of 1st dc. Tighten loop and sew in end.
  • Ch3 (counts as 1st dc), 2 more dc in same st; *ch1, miss a st, 3 dc in next st, rep from * 4 more times, ch1, sl st into top of ch3.  Fasten off.
  • With outer colour join into one of the missed Sts from row  1.  Ch3, 2 more dc in same st, *3dc in next missed st; rep from * 4 more times.  Sl st into to of ch3.
  • Ch2 (counts as hdc), 1hdc, 2hdc in next st;
  • Work corner in space between dc clusters – AT THE SAME TIME – work into the top of the centre dc of the 2nd row cluster below – So 1dc (by putting hook into the space, and then into the centre dc of the cluster below), ch2, then 1dc in same place.
  • *2hdc in next st, 1hdc, 2hdc in next st, work corner as before; rep from * 4 times more.
  • 1hdc in same st as initial 2ch.  Sl st into top of 2ch.  Fasten off.
