Orla Love Coasters
A set of these coasters can be whipped up in an evening… perfect for a quick gift idea.

This pattern is written in US Crochet Terminology and uses standard Crochet Abbreviations.
You will need –
- 6mm crochet hook
- DK cotton or cotton mix yarn – you will be using 2 strands held together.
I would urge you to use a yarn with some cotton in there as it gives a firmer finish. I used Scheepjes Softfun.
Description
- With your chosen colour for the centre of your coaster and holding 2 strands of yarn together, ch 4 and join into a ring.ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), 11 dc into ring. Join with a sl st into top of ch 3. (12 sts). Fasten off.
- With petal colour join into the back loop of one of the dc below (this round is worked in the back loops only), ch 3 (counts as 1st dc), *2dc in next st; rep from * 10 times. Work 1dc into same place as 1st ch 3. Join will a sl st to top of ch 3. (24 sts)
- *miss a st, (2hdc, 1 dc) in next st, (3dc) in next st, (1 dc, 2 hdc) in next st, miss a st, sl st; rep from * 3 times more working your final sl st into the same st you started in. Fasten off and weave in ends.
