You will need…
5 mm & 4 mm hook
8 different colours of DK wool
This pattern uses US crochet terminology and standard crochet abbreviations.
For this pattern I used –
1) With larger 5 mm hook, ch 48 (to make a different size chain a multiple of 16)
2) Change to 4 mm hook, ch 3, work 2 dc into 4th ch from hook, dc 4, (dc 3 tog) twice, dc 4, 3 dc into next st * 3 dc into next st, dc 4, (dc 3 tog) twice, dc 4, 3 dc into next st – rep from * once more. Fasten off.
3) With right side facing join new colour into top of starting ch 3. Chain 3 (counts as 1st dc), 2 more dc in the same st, dc 4, (dc 3 tog) twice, dc 4, 3 dc into next st, * 3 dc into next st, dc 4, (dc 3 tog) twice, dc 4, 3 dc into next st – rep from * once more. Fasten off.
4) Rep row 3 until the scarf is the desired length.
