Felt Ball love…

IMG_0183

Just a quick note to catch up!  I’ve been away from home with work for most of this week, and I’m off down to Cumbria today to visit my lovely family for a few days, but in the interests of ‘trying!’ to post every week I thought I would give a sneak peak of a new idea I will be showing you next weekend… and it’s all to do with gorgeous felt balls…  I just love them, the intense matte woolly goodness of them!

I picked these lovelies up at the Knitting and Stitching show at the Alexandra Palace in London last October (if you fancy being wedged in shoulder to shoulder with lots of strangers whilst not being able to get near oodles of fabulous fibre stands then this is the venue/show for you!  Plus there’s nowhere to sit to drink your cup of tea…  Sorry, rant done).  I did manage to push my way through to the Blooming Felt stand though and I couldn’t resist these beauties.  But what to do with them?

I really wanted to do some crochet with them, but just couldn’t figure out how – until the end of last month when I had my eureka moment.  I’m nearly finished my felt ball crochet project and I’m taking it down to my Mum’s with me today to finish off while I’m there – all ready to show you next weekend.

So have a lovely week and I’ll be back next weekend. (have I overdone the weekends!?)

I’m just off to *find/ask/plead/bribe/trick/lower in bottom first Sophie into the cat box ready for the car. (*all with be done in that order).  Just after I find my gauntlets!

Happy crocheting!

  1. I’m really looking forward to seeing what magic you create with these gorges little felt balls, Karen; I have a few that a blogger friend sent me some time ago and I think they are the cutest things – mine are decorating a little bowl at the moment! Joy x
